What is dimensional analysis?

Dimensional analysis ensures that all product dimensions meet specification, as defined by industry standards or by the Customer.

Outlined below are the tests utilized by Anecto by Anecto Test Services.

Deployment Accuracy

  • This test is designed to measure the ease of positioning and deployment of an implantable device. The method used for testing is dependent on the type of device being tested
  • Tests performed to Customer-defined requirements

Stent Foreshortening

  • This test is performed to identify if, and by how much, the length of the device reduces following deployment and expansion
  • Tests performed to Anecto or Customer-defined requirements

Stent ‘Dog-Boning’

  • This test is performed to identify the diameter of the deployed stent along its length. There is a tendency for the ends of the stent to be of greater diameter than the mid-section (hence the term ‘dog-boning’)
  • Tests performed to Anecto or customer defined requirements

Stent Unsupported Surface Area (USA)

  • This test is designed to empirically identify the maximum stent unsupported area, as well as the maximum unsupported span (the higher these values are, the less support the stent offers the vessel)
  • Utilizing a digital microscope with image capture
  • Tests performed to Anecto or Customer-defined requirements
