What is altitude testing?
Altitude testing is intended to provide for the anticipated reduction in air pressure when products and packages, that may be sensitive to low-pressure environments, are transported by air or by road over areas of high altitude. At Anecto Test Services, a vacuum chamber is used for altitude testing to simulate changes in air pressure.
Sealed liquid containers or non-porous/non-breathable packages, in particular, may be adversely affected by high altitude environments.
Testing at Anecto is in compliance with ASTM D6653.
